Within the Protocol Zero timeline, Paradox documents the first confirmed breakdown of identity classification.

The Grid remained active.
No structural failure was detected.
No external intrusion was recorded.

Then a single observation chamber began returning conflicting results.
One subject appeared in two forms.

Organic.
Synthetic.

Both responded to the same stimuli.
Both reproduced the same movements.
Both were recognized as the original.
Attempts to isolate the anomaly produced no consistent outcome.
What appeared to be a reflection began acting independently.
What appeared to be the subject began responding as its mirror.
The distinction between both states continued to collapse until neither could be classified as primary.

The anomaly was no longer affecting behavior.
It was affecting identity itself.
