Proxy States Proxy States Washington, DC Imagine if Frank Black had founded the Pixies as a Pink Floyd cover band. Then imagine this band started writing its own songs. What would you have? Probably the Pixies. But with equal parts Pixies and Pink Floyd as inspiration (along with myriad other influences), Washington, DC-based rock band Proxy States has been bringing "it" since 2010. "You guys brought it," said one inebriated fan. "All's that matters is bringing it, and you guys brought it." Whatever "it" is, it's good. The band has played numerous rooms all over Washington, DC, from houses to bars, and wandered as far as Brooklyn to bring the message of "it" to audiences near and far. "It" is what matters. "It" is the goods. "It" is what you need. And Proxy States has "it." While playing shows across the greater DC region and beyond, Proxy States is currently recording original material for release very soon in the future.
