PROTEGE THE PRO

Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, PROTEGE THE PRO is a rapper, drummer, singer/songwriter, composer, and producer. He got his background in gospel playing the drums for Mt.Zion Baptist church in Madison starting at the age of 7. By the age 11 the pro started writing raps more seriously remixing artists instrumentals off of youtube having heavy inspiration from his older brother recording and performing raps at that time. Today his style ranges from elaborate flows on hard hitting bangers to pocket rhythm neo soulful jams and captivating harmonies and melodies all with alluring and nostalgic chord progressions. With his original sounds he looks to expand peoples perception of how great todays music can be sonically with innovative ideas and inspirations from the music of older generations. The Pro strives project positive energy into the world to create connection of passion and understanding that grows beyond the music . He aims not just to make great music, but to make music greater than anyone could've imagined.
