Protector 101 - Piledriver (Tribute) by PROTECTOR 101

A LONG time ago I had this crazy concept to make a music track in tribute to the Grand Daddy of "beat-em-up" video games, "Final Fight" but instead of using instruments and synths I decided to use nothing but the video game's sounds. With MAME as my helper I booted up the arcade rom version of FF I recorded the sound library. After that it was a few hours of meticulous editing, splicing, dicing, slicing of all the samples to make a "song". There were hardly any post effects applied, just the raw samples edited together to make this track.

This track was made sometime in the year 2000-2001. Way before P-101 was even thought of but it's 80s and the game and soundtrack is always inspiration for P101 and you know what... Sometimes you just gotta say, "What the fuck."
