The Way They Landed by Prospero2013

It was precise
the way they landed.
Their presence became
the burning question.
They melted
like water
touching the whole.
They ran through the pipes
which connect
the body to heaven.
They even climbed down
and began to engage
here, there and everywhere
with anyone
who would listen.

It reminded me
of my dream.
I was very anxious to know
whether I had a soul.
I woke up
Up on the tree
In my grandfather's backyard
Every possible kind
of fantastic theory
ran through my mind
at this moment.

I ran to look for him
and I saw him standing
in the same place
taller and stronger
than I remembered.
He said their degeneration
from one generation to another
had reached such a point.

I smiled.
We hugged each other.
We were happy.
Instead of his psyche
he was now a real man.
The dream had everything in it
except for them
that melted like water.
