The future was written.
Anything the travelers did would simply cause the future to occur.
Some of them were interested in having their fortunes read
but foreknowledge made no difference.
There was no original and substantial reality grounding these attempts.

The more they tried to rewrite their lives,
the more obvious their own signature on reality became.
They called this the Self-Consistency Principle.
Every act they undertook to cover up their trail
always created another new trail
which once again forced the same future upon them.

This is what they had been taught,
what had been forced into them as truth.
But the inner time lines of their fates
connected the various subjects through invisible points.
This network of lines could aid in the transition between chambers.
Here they found a possibility.

They became determined to establish a new cosmos.
As each experiment fell apart they were led from one attempt to the next.
A logical paradox had zero mathematical probability of happening.
And yet they tried and tried.

As they got older,
they reached a kind of understanding:
all hypothesis were inherently correct
and this required them to eventually discover the correct procedure.
They called this procedure dissolution.

They created a glyph which dealt with this specific process.
The moon became the source of attention,
it served as connection and disturbance between consciousness and body.
This was the basis for the invisible door they would attempt to open.
They coded this discovery in the form of a traditional Tarot reading.

They became the Other;
and this Other was itself a new them;
therefore it likewise became its own Other.
It was a classic case of self-fulfilling prophecy.

Through their own unique understanding of the cards and their representations,
they became aware that reality itself was structured as a cover-up.
When they finally woke up,
consciousness illuminated their experience as the Sun.
