This I knew.
Molecular motors
resulted in biological events
leading to the transcription of DNA.

It was the tail end of the monsoon season.
Under the overcast sky and the occasional drizzle
I had now developed a method
which generated a synthetic molecular worm.

I stepped out early one morning,
armed with specific hydrogen bonds
motor and fuel for the worm creating system.

I was stopped in my tracks
at the edge of the road.
I saw the flexible material before me.
The exploration of self-assembling molecular structures
The interactions between components.
I could program the base-pairings.
The solution had been before me
all along.

I looked around and saw a single strand of DNA
moving about actively in the vicinity.

There was an adrenaline rush within me.
Was there going to be an interaction
between the synthetic worm and the DNA?
Would the worm attack the strand and devour it?

There would be no answer.
The dissociation of these fragments
caused the worm to migrate
allowing the cycle to repeat.

There were many questions in my mind.
I was quickly burning all bridges.
The road was destroyed
as the strand passed by.
