The year was 1943
and he found himself
alone in a vast world.

He had been army, ground, airman.
He became chief because he had cunning.
Through the depth of his cunning
he could approach the sky.
Carefully, sweetly, gently
he would fulfil his obligations.

On November 30, 1943
he stared at the future in his mind
and he found that there were
two magicks waiting:
one black and one white.
The two were distinct
yet intertwined,
conscious and unconscious.

In that he had cunning he would
eventually master both.
If it wasn't today
it would be tomorrow.
He only had to wait
and keep on searching.
through all the complex configurations.

Through half closed eyes
a kind of perfection would emerge.
The path was clear.
An angel could do only one
but a devil could do all.
