“The Day After” was originally an instrumental composition written for a proposed French Western. As hope began to fade on the production, Hans Deville asked Chilean/English psych-shoe-gaze singer Naomi In Blue if she would lay down some vocals on the score. The pair had originally been introduced through alt-country DJ Sunday Girl.
The resulting track is an emotional, dare we say poetic, journey into love and separation. A whispered monologue, part English part Chilean Spanish which only adds to the passion, weaves between the cinematic score of Spaghetti Western twang, choirs, clip clops and sweeping orchestration.
