On remixing an alt-country sea shanty, Will LV says "The first thing that grabbed me when I was going through the parts for Porbandar was how the bass line reminded me of a kind of stepping disco pattern. So this became the basis of my approach. Once I sped up the original it started to take on a kind of sparser, new wave sort of vibe. I wanted to break up the vocal to allow me more freedom than the original arrangement.
