Why does the application of AI technologies produce such different outcomes in China as compared with the west?

China’s 15th five-year plan illustrates how peoples’ lives can be enriched by combining a planned economy with technological advances in production. The capitalist approach of profit for a tiny minority, on the other hand, results in the immiseration of the vast majority of workers. Automation tools in socialist hands deliver freedom, while in capitalist hands they only cause further hardship.
