Project Caretaker (ursprünglich Caretaker) ist eine deutschsprachige Electro-Pop-Band aus Berlin. Beeinflusst vom Sound der Techno- und Electro-Musik, gründete Sebastian Tessendorf 2001 die Band Caretaker. Die ersten beiden Singles, “Dunkle Liebe“ und “Idyll“, wurden bereits im ersten Jahr veröffentlicht. Ab 2003 spielten Caretaker die ersten Konzerte, u.a. auf dem Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig (2004) und dem Electronic Pleasure – Festival. 2005 erschien das Debüt-Album “Amorph“ auf dem deutschen Label „Zone 30 Records“. Nach diversen Besetzungswechseln versuchte Sebastian Tessendorf, die Band 2015 mit dem Song „Hochkultur“ in eine andere Richtung zu entwickeln. Um den Neustart perfekt zu machen, benannte er die Band in „Project Caretaker“ um. Im April 2016 erscheint die neue EP. Project Caretaker (formerly „Caretaker“) is a German-language Electro-Pop-band from Berlin. Influenced by the sound of the Techno- and Electro-movement, Sebastian Tessendorf formed the band Caretaker in 2001. The first two singles “Dunkle Liebe” (= dark love) an “Idyll” (=idyllic place) were released in the same year. From 2003 onwards, the band played numerous concerts, among them gigs at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, in 2004, as well as the Electronic Pleasure - festival. 2005, the band released the debut album “Amorph” on German indie-label “Zone 30 records.” In 2015, after some line-up changes, Sebastian Tessendorf decided to take the group in an entirely new direction with the new song “Hochkultur.” To ensure a clean reboot, he also changed the band name into “Project Caretaker.” A new EP is scheduled for release in April 2016.
