As Clementine travels farther and grows weaker, the daylight begins to fade into gloom, and a rainstorm forces her to take shelter under the steel canopy of a long since abandoned fuel station next to the broken highway. She sits and hopes the rain will end as her sorrow and anxiety deepen throughout the stormy night.
