Batch by Project AER published on 2024-10-25T10:56:50Z When I started Project AER in 2020, I saw the opportunity blend the sounds I loved in ambient, post-rock and emo music with the chilled and laidback beats and sounds of lofi. In 2022, I began experimenting doing things the other way round with the goal of making a record that felt like post-rock / emo first, and lofi second. I dabbled away at a handful of demos on and off until late 2023 when my feelings towards the shifting state of lofi inspired me to write an *album* - no batches, no writing for playlists, just making something that felt fresh to me. Enter All Notes Replica - my favourite album I've ever made as Project AER - a collection of songs capturing snapshots of my life, my relationship with music, and somewhat of a reminder for me to slow down and try new things once in a while. I say my music is special a lot, but I have genuinely never meant it more than right now. This album means the world to me. It's the longest I've spent on a Project AER record, with so many moments where it has either moved me to tears or brought me so much comfort and joy. It's now turned me into a bundle of nerves as I write this, but I am equally excited to finally get to share it with you. I could talk forever about the meanings and everything behind these songs, but for now, I invite you to listen and I hope you enjoy this album.
