Go Yoko! unveil their first studio outing welding industrial analogue waves with geeky digital frenzy...

Darren Pain and Russell Harris recently joined forces whilst both playing at a Mute records anniversary show in London, being watched by Darren’s own Basildonian hometown legend Vince Clarke and finding themselves discussing the sonic potential of their prototype Moog Keytar with nuclear noise terrorists Add N to X. This was the catalyst that sparked off their mutual need for Go Yoko’s existence and their attitude to how electronic music can be approached out of the box and away from formula.

Following this induction and making an impression on an unknown source they were then asked to play down the rabbit hole of the Glade electronic festival where they cut their teeth and experienced first hand the desires of the alternative dancefloor masses. They then returned back from this dystopian rave induction to their studio in the seaside town of Southend in the UK where nocturnal flickering arcade’s beeps and glitches collided with their healthy interest in irregular basslines and fantasy soundscapes to create their first full length album due for release in the summer of 2013 with a handful of key live dates to follow.
