Governor Hochul Highlights New Statewide Initiative to Combat Homelessness at Event with Mayor Adams by Governor Kathy Hochul

January 6, 2022 — New York, NY — Governor Hochul joined New York City Mayor Adams to highlight a new statewide effort to fight homelessness and announced that the State Office of Mental Health will soon issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to staff Safe Options Support (SOS) Teams to deploy in New York City and in targeted regions throughout the state where homelessness is most widespread.
