Governor Hochul Announces $30 Million to Support New York City’s Fight Against Gun Violence by Governor Kathy Hochul

July 31, 2023 — New York, NY — Governor Hochul announced $30 million to support New York City’s fight against gun violence. This funding includes $6 million for the New York City Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Blueprint for Community Safety, which will help the City hire additional public safety personnel and deploy more resources to support the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.
