Governor Hochul Directs Memorial Flag to Be Flown in Observance of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 by Governor Kathy Hochul

September 8, 2026 - New York City - Governor Hochul announced a 9/11 Memorial Flag will be flown over the New York State Capitol and Empire State Plaza beginning Tuesday, September 8, through Friday, September 11 in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the 9/11 terror attacks 25 years ago, including 84 employees of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and 40 state employees from the Department of Tax and Finance.
