Go Rie

Born to Nigerian parents, Go Rie which phonetically translates to “ascend” in the Yoruba language, was raised in the north west of London by a single mother, following the death of his father.

Having since toured internationally abroad in Botswana, performed locally amongst artists such as Wretch 32 and Akala, Go Rie has already proven his ability to hold his own amongst some of the UK’s finest lyricists.

Emerging with over a quarter of a million hits across various social networks, featuring on newspapers such as ‘The Camden Journal’ and the ‘Islington Tribune’, it was not long before Go Rie was picked up by the late Amy Winehouse and placed in her recording studios under her Lioness Records umbrella.

Go Rie is now set to release his debut project 'Ascend'.
