Goran Kralj - songwriter Goran Kralj Nashville Goran Kralj is an American singer/songwriter originally from Munster, Indiana. After graduating from Munster High, Goran attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he and his brother formed an alternative rock band called The Gufs. The Gufs gained a strong regional following, with an extremely large local fan base and commercial radio support via 3 successful independent releases on their own Red Submarine Records. This was enough for a then up and coming Jason Flom to take notice. In 1996 the band signed to Atlantic Records’ newly formed partnership with Flom, Lava. Goran also signed a publishing deal with EMI. The Gufs toured extensively during the late 90’s in support of 2 major label releases. Goran took a hiatus from The Gufs in 2001 to work on a solo release titled “Any Day Now.” In addition the single “Where Are You Now” was released as a fundraising effort for the victims of 9/11. The Gufs released a full length concert DVD as well as another independent release on Red Submarine in 2006 called “A Different Sea” and continued to play for large crowds in the midwest. In 2012 Goran purchased a house outside Nashville, TN where he lives with his wife and two children as he continues writing songs with backing from Dan Hodges Music.
