With an array of sounds that are quickly becoming synonymous with fellow Irish luminaries Mick Flannery, James Vincent McMorrow & the Coronas; Ian O’Doherty is heavily influenced by real human experiences and his overall sound seamlessly reflects this, reaching soaring levels fueled by crashing drums and guitars, then fading to calm and contemplative acoustics and harmonies. Ian is currently working on his debut album (release date TBA) via indie record label Fat Of The Land Records at Westland Studios, Dublin. He can also be seen regularly playing on the Irish live music circuit, from McCarthy’s Bar & Venue in Dingle, Co.Kerry to Whelan’s of Dublin and many other spots along the way. Prior to the long player release, is EP “Never In Colour” on May 10th on iTunes. Followed by a Nationwide tour, dates listed below. The Ep features 4 tracks including lead single ‘The Temptation Of Eve’. A stunning track which showcases his powerfully emotive voice. “To me, The Temptation Of Eve is a fictional account of a man's struggle with finding the balance between the natural human desire for intimacy and love while at the same time maybe not wanting it with the person who's offering it but finding it hard to suppress his need to be validated or wanted. I've used a loose reference to Adam & Eve to portray the characters and deal with the notion of our relationship, as people, with temptation”- Ian O'Doherty.
