Sol Mobilis Gong is a Planetary Gong that features a strong fundamental pitch (B1) tuned to represent the orbital properties of our Sun (126.22 Hz) as calculated by Hans Cousto.

Master Gong maker Broder Oetken, who studied with both Walter Meyer and Rudi Bonness, has handcrafted a planetary gong using the same frequency as the Planetary Sun Gong we are familiar with from Paiste and Meinl.

Some of the Key Qualities of the Sun energy are "Initiative, vitality, authority, leadership, generosity, individuation, power, confidence, and self-esteem" It helps to define our individuality, integrity, and independence; to overcome limiting environmental conditions, and to be in touch with our Divine seed. When this clean burning fire is present in our life we are not-reactive but proactive. We have the capacity to not only digest and integrate our our own internal complexities but we can hear and relate to perspectives of people whom we may nothing in common with. This is Tejas or Tapas, the Transformative Fire - some call it Radiance.

This gong is called "Sol Mobilis" or "Mobile Sun" because at 32" it is much easier to transport than the 38" Paiste Sun version or the 36" Meinl Sun, which Broder also makes

Broder Oetken uses NS12 (nickel silver) also known as Alpaka, a material used in German gong making. This is the same metal (and from the same source) that Paiste uses to create their high quality gongs. NS12 has a wide-ranging and potent sonic quality particularly valuable in Sound Therapy.
