Wayfaring Stranger (Apollo 8) by Sr_Yesterday published on 2017-01-07T20:20:06Z 2016 ended on nearly as sour a note as 1968, the winter humans first orbited the moon, and made it back to Earth. This, then, is a wish. This song features Caitlin Ayer singing the traditional folk hymn "Wayfaring Stranger." We strove to avoid using any copyrighted lyrics in their entirety, though this song--nearly 200 years old--has been claimed so many times by so many labels and artists it is difficult to see how any infringement could be proven. NASA is far more generous. The Apollo 8 recordings are available on line and are in the public domain: Apollo 8 by NASA Usage Public Domain Mark 1.0 https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/mark/1.0/ The Apollo 8 mission.
