Gone Under Sea Lydia Samuels London Gone Under Sea is the folk project of Lydia Samuels, singer and multi-instrumentalist formerly of ANTI records’ ‘The Melodic’. The band play traditional music from the UK with dashes of Americana, in a uniquely haunting and soulful style. Influenced by British and American folk revivalists such as Anne Briggs and Karen Dalton, Lydia explores the darker side of the Anglo-American folk canon, bringing to light forgotten tales of Britain's shadowy past, most often from the perspective of women. Originally from London, England, Lydia is now based in Mexico City.
