Influenced by a new wave of electronic/hip hop/psychedelic music from artists like Flying Lotus, Jamie xx, Nicolas Jaar, Seekae, and XXYYXX amongst others. Essentially, it is cheesy electronic music from a classic hip hop perspective. While using tacky, and over-the-top instruments, the focus was to give life to the beats – transforming it from clinical MIDI sounds to a heavily-breathing, constantly evolving lifeform, as the title suggests. Written, recorded & produced during June-August, and released September 2013.
