🇫🇷 UPDATE : Arnaud Gaist (FR) sur "Hermes Phoning" a contacté le PC GGR pour signaler qu'il a un problème de gréement, qui rend la navigation au près risquée pour le moment. Une interaction entre son beaupré, sa sous-barbe et son étai crée un mouvement en compression instable du mât et du pied de mât. Il navigue vers le nord-nord-ouest en s'éloignant de Cape Town depuis 16 heures afin d'examiner ses options. De plus amples informations seront disponibles dès que possible. La GGR n'est pas inquiète pour sa sécurité et n'a pas déclaré de situation.
🇬🇧 UPDATE : Arnaud Gaist (FR) sailing "Hermes Phoning" contacted #GGR2022 control to advise he has a mast and rigging issue, that makes it unsafe to sail to windward for now. An interaction between his bowsprit, bobstay and forestay is creating an unstable mast and mast base movement. He has been sailing NNW away from Cape Town for the past 16 hours to consider his options. Further information when available. GGR is not concerned for his safety and has not declared any situation.
