The Last Factory Picnic by Godvliet Records

Kestrel Union sets The Last Factory Picnic on one Saturday in a Midwestern factory town in 1979 and plays it as bright pop. Sack races, lemonade and company buses fill the morning. Then management confirms the factory will close in six weeks, and across seven songs old grudges surface, names get written down, a meeting is called and the union banners go home with the workers. Guitars and organ carry people who refuse to let bad news have the final word. New music weekly from Godvliet Records.
