Nobody at the Controls by Godvliet Records

Six songs, one small rented flat, and two people working out whether they still fit in it.

Nobody at the Controls starts on a stairwell after a gig and ends at a kitchen sink. In between there's a charger cord that only reaches half the bed and a drawer of shared shirts. Then a photo cropped to hide the rent, and a counsellor's address saved under a shopping list. Pocket Confetti play it as fragile 2010s art rock. A cracked falsetto sits close to your ear. Around it, chiming guitars, brittle piano and drums that trip on purpose. The loud moments come when plain words stop working.
