Goatgirl’s skillful storytelling and unique melodic sensibilities merge with her oddly angelic vocal style and dainty parlor guitar to deliver an unusually beautiful, yet raw and unadulterated hybridization of modern folk and blues. Jeppa K Hall (Goatgirl) is hard to describe or even categorize. Her work as a performance artist/comedian, vocalist, musician and songwriter, is a hybridization of an unknown number of genres. Subsequently, her performances have lent themselves to be featured in just about every performance venue imaginable, developing an underground cult following in her wake. Her projects include her solo music project, the 21st century story ballads of GOATGIRL and the acoustic doom metal duo FINGER. Through her alter ego QUEEN SHMOOQUAN (the super-real modern day oracle), Jeppa generates solo psychedelic theater performances that merge pop-art clowning with multi-media performance art, music, and non-linear storytelling to create thought provoking, hilarious music and theater that push the boundaries of contemporary and traditional performance mediums.
