From the very first moment, they felt immersed in the heart of the modern hippie scene that the Psytrance community is so beautifully known for. Surrounded by trippy visuals, psychedelic graphics, colourful decorations, and that otherworldly sound, the experience felt magical. It was truly surreal. Over the years, Jay discovered that these events carry a unique atmosphere: peaceful, empathetic, enlightened, and deeply kind. That single night made it crystal clear. Psytrance would forever be an essential part of their life! There was simply no going back. Since then, Jay has travelled the globe, dancing at countless Goa parties and diving deep into the rich spectrum of Psytrance subgenres. From the relaxed, laid-back vibes of Psydub to the driving, galloping energy of Full On, every style left its mark. Yet one subgenre remains a true favourite: Darkpsy, with its grim, dark soundscapes and relentless fast tempo. In 2019, Jay took the next step and began deejaying professionally. After refining their sound and style across many venues, they found their home in the darker, more hypnotic realms by focusing on Nightpsy, Forest Psy, Darkpsy and Psycore. When GoaGajah steps behind the decks, the result is a powerful fusion of energetic, dark, and gloomy soundscapes.
