As for the inspiration for this set, she says "This is the third mix in a series I have been doing this year. Each mix explores particular aspects of dance music that I feel have been diluted or are disfavored. The first mix for Fresh Meat regarded direct narratives in dance music, the second mix for Hugo Ball concerned rhythmic urgency, and this mix for Discovery explores spirituality and beauty.
