I'm Sorry (Single RNS001) by WoodyGSD published on 2013-05-09T16:35:48Z John Grimaldi: Lead Guitar, Vocals Brett Salmon - Guitar (aavinternational.com) Dave Taylor: Percussion Lou: Bass Guitar Lyrics and Songs copyright Grimaldi This was the only commercial recording by Cheap Flights. The final track, Blame it on the Brewery didn't make it onto the single, originally, so it is included here for the first time. The single was produced by the band, using finance from a long term fan, due to the lack of interest from the main record companies. It was also self distributed to the fan base, selling the majority of its first pressing of 5000 (we have 3 copies left.. any more out there?). It was a confusing time, as 'Rock' was being overtaken by the 'Punk' movement, but as that withered away, the calls started coming in from the majors. With the proof that there was a market for Johns music, they had woken up to the fact, sadly, just after he was diagnosed with MS, and an actual offer was turned down a month after he died, and 3-6 months after he had moved management. This was a blow, but a plus for Saxon who eventually got that deal. Genre Rock/pop
