Antony Gormley's live artwork was commissioned by the Mayor of London. A group of 20 'plinthers' were then selected by the Wellcome Trust for follow-up interviews a year later. Rachel Denton speaks to Kate Rowles. Rachel is a Christian hermit who has taken vows of poverty, chastity and solitude. Rachel was inspired to apply for a place on the plinth by the stylites of the fourth to sixth centuries and she has decided to spend her time on the plinth praying for prisoners.
