09.流泪手心 by 王力宏 Wang Leehom published on 2014-09-01T12:20:06Z Each year, Leehom performs his first show on the evening of New Year’s Day, an intimate free show in front of a small audience instead of the usual 30,000-seat stadium. No theatrics, choreography, or big stage performance — just him, the fans, a small band, and the music. After hitting Taipei in 2012 and Shanghai in 2013, the 2014 Free Show arrived in Singapore. 250 fans from various countries assembled to enjoy an evening of rousing melodies and tight beats. The musicians were all familiar faces, good friends with whom Leehom has worked for many years, and the set list was a mixture of popular singles and old favorites, all newly arranged to allow the musicians to take full advantage of the intimate setting, improvising freely and interacting closely with each other and with the fans. For this album, we’ve left Leehom’s speaking sections in, so that listeners can best understand his own thoughts and perspective on each song and feel the closeness that the audience felt live that evening.
