WeSee by W.A.F Collective published on 2014-10-14T11:38:28Z "WeSee" is the debut single from pop-culture collective creators W.A.F. With an epic rock ambition driven by a DIY garageband ethos, "WeSee" sounds like the W.A.F declaration of independence. Sung, shouted and chanted on top of big drums, the track sends determined pulses of reverberation across a desolate future landscape. The truly unique voice of the bands singer delivers the first line of the lyrics "We're out of touch with our culture, I guess we better get our own", making a bold statement that is immediately enforced by an atmospheric slide guitar. When the chorus hits it is clear that surrender is the only option just as what sounds like the entire band declares that it's time to "unite or die now". "WeSee" will open eyes and ears everywhere to the W.A.F collective and their innovative cross-platform story "The Roaring", which includes years worth of planned music, comics, novels and video material. The single "WeSee" was recorded during a one day session in April 2014 in Stockholm's X-Level studios and later mixed by renowned swedish producer Måns Lundberg at Decibel Studios. It will be officially released on the 30th of October with a special premiere taking place at the first ever Comic Con Stockholm along with the reveal of comic book one-shot "WeSee: No Man Is An Island". Teo bausing the strings- as usual... 2014-11-05T16:44:21Z Comment by Danny William Horney I hear a very heavy WU LYF influence. Be it them or the members individually in "LUH's" Ellery James Roberts vocals and "Los Porcos/Francis Lung's" Francis McLung. That said, it sounds like them but a more palatable version. Not a bad thing as I'm liking this tune! I just don't feel the same visceral energy as much as hear a similar sound. The conviction of statement is lacking & it seems very "WU LITE" but it's still good and has a voice of its own. I like it, keep it up. 2014-11-01T09:06:36Z Comment by W.A.F Collective @naomi-slater-1: Glad you like it! 2014-10-31T03:03:52Z Comment by robynyoulten Eclectic pop - very original.I like the vocal arrangements - havy compression takes the sparkle out a bit,but this is a great track - and I DO love that bass!!
