GLITCH by Vitalija Glovackyte published on 2013-09-21T13:53:25Z Commissioned by London Contemporary Music Festival, premiered by Otto Willberg on 4th July, 2013 in Peckham Multistorey Car Park. GLITCH is part of a cycle for double bass and portable music player, exploring the sound of radio interference and old analogue systems. In this movement, all the source material is taken from the double bass, processed to resemble the sounds of an analogue radio flitting through stations, but magnified significantly. The two instruments are simultaneously pushed to their physical limits, with the increasing impression that one might break down before the piece ends. Genre Contemporary
