I immediately sent a picture of the bottle to my two friends and songwriting partners Kirk Larente and Joe Sweeney. What a coincidence! The Kirk And Sweeney was a rum-running schooner back in the days of Prohibition. It brought precious rum from The Dominican Republic up to the NYC area.
