Nick Sirianni by PittEngineering published on 2021-11-12T16:25:56Z Class of 1956 (B.S.), Industrial Engineering “I learned to look at the big picture” Born in Bellevue, PA to Italian immigrant parents in 1934, Nicola (Nick) Sirianni spoke Italian at home and aspired to be a commercial artist. After receiving a scholarship to attend Pitt, he changed course and enrolled in the School of Engineering. As a student, Sirianni was very active on campus, participating in both the marching band and the Skyscraper Engineer magazine. He was named “Mr. Pitt” in 1956.
