Blairr Blair Maina Nairobi Raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Blairr (born Anthony Blair Waweru Maina in 2003) is a ‘Kip Hop’ artist and versatiles across different genres apart from what he named and diversifies on. Kip Hop is a genre Blairr referes to as ‘A different style of Hip – Hop born in the 254’ which is Kenya’s Country Code. Blairr started recording music with earbuds as a microphone and headset, and an iPhone 5 for recording, mixing and mastering, in a home where music wasn’t preferred as a talent for himself but he went against the odds and did what he could to put out what he really loved. Blairr recorded his first tracks and started off by putting them out on SoundCloud and YouTube with support from his peers. After the response he got off the tracks, although they weren’t well engineered, he decided that he would push this talent to another level, recording tracks titled, (Pesa) and the side single to the release of it titled, (Stick), 4 months later, releasing the teaser to his debut album, ‘E.X Szn 1’, (Intro). Blairr relocated to the United States to complete his High school education upon where he decided to work on what he called, his greatest masterpiece, the album. Blairr said, 'he'd be back', something common for him to say when he decides to perfect something to the best. “I WILL BE BACK”.
