Ep 34: Alex Macarte (sound therapy practitioner) on the deep healing qualities of music by Do Good Podcast published on 2020-02-10T14:12:52Z In this episode I was joined by musician and sound therapy practitioner, Alex Macarte, to hear all about his career and how its evolved over recent times. Alex has been in the music industry since he was a teenager and has toured all over the world with his band Gnod, who are a British rock band from Salford, Greater Manchester. Then a few years back he started to understand the deeper healing qualities of sound and this began his journey towards becoming a sound therapy practitioner, which uses vibrations (vocal or instrumental-like gongs, Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks) in order to relax your mind and body. He works one-to-one with clients as well as running events. There is so much wisdom shared in this episode which stretches far beyond the realm of music, and if you listen carefully you’ll hear the sound of our garden birds joining in with the conversation.
