In particular, with the rise of 2.0 culture, and especially social media, users become producers of value and information, specifically in relation to content generation. What would TikTok look like without user-generated content? Similarly, according to the usological turn (Wright), art practitioners are more and more dissatisfied with artworks just to look at in awe, hence they tend to create works which situate themselves as part of a broader usership in producing them. Simplifying, the usological turn sees a rise of practices that welcome use, misuse, transformation, and repurpose challenging the old regime of ownership, authorship, spectatorship and intellectual property rights as well.
