I'm sure these sounds mean something, they do to me at times; air pressure.. symbols.. cycles... things that I found.. I can see composition as a process, so I am a most of my audience. It is also a performance. A service. A means. An end. Music communicates. Composition is communication that causes an unknown reaction; waves and waves of clarity. Can music be effective? Why am I concerned with this.. because, I want to be. I need music. Music that communicates but doesn't say anything specific, or does. Music composing is anything, a ladder, a voice, a rhythm, a cost, a friend. A composer's life is an isolated way of living, and a collaborative one.
