NGC 1435 (2022) for six spatialized percussionists l Live Recording by José Luis Perdigón de Paz published on 2022-10-25T14:12:42Z For six spatialized percussionists. Program Notes: 'The Merope Nebula, NGC 1435 in the New General Catalogue, is a faint reflection nebula and suspected supernova remnant located in the Pleiades cluster. The nebula surrounds the star Merope (23 Tauri), after which it gets its name. It is the brightest reflection nebula in the Pleiades cluster and is also known as Tempel’s Nebula – it was discovered by the German astronomer Wilhelm Tempel from Venice, Italy on October 19, 1859.– NGC 1435 covers an area of 30 arc minutes in size, which corresponds to a linear diameter of 4 light years. In the next several thousand years, the nebula – or what is left of it after the encounter with Merope, which is eroding the interstellar cloud– will move on past the star.' https://www.joseluisperdigon.com/ngc-1435 Genre percussion Comment by No Mates Ensemble so much atmosphere amongst the dynamics : ) 2023-03-21T20:15:59Z Comment by No Mates Ensemble i am a sucker for contemporary percussion ! this is outstanding 2023-03-21T20:02:09Z Comment by Dror Elimelech VERY GOOD 2023-02-23T16:57:43Z
