While Donald Trump won the largest percentage of the evangelical vote in the GOP primaries, it’s been clear that he was not one of them. He’s owned strip clubs, boasted of his sexual exploits in print and, according to Marble Collegiate Church on Fifth Avenue in New York which he calls his home church, they released a statement clarifying that Trump is not an active member. To top it off, last July, when pollster Frank Luntz asked whether Trump had ever asked God for forgiveness at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, trump said that he does not. In light of that, perhaps the biggest news that came out of last week’s meeting of 1,000 Evangelical leaders with Donald Trump in New York was the news from Dr. James Dobson, host of FamilyTalk, that Trump was a baby Christian.
