This song was written from the perspective of my husband when we were dating in the early days. He felt subconscious pressure to be with a black woman and it took many people to say, Crystal is the one for you regardless of her color. This song is to highlight the beauty in "Contrast" i.e. between people, personalities, and races. We are All United, all flawed, all human, all beautiful in our own ways. There should not be so much pressure for each race to date, marry or fall in love only within their same race. We should find the person who matches our heart.
