AIP - 003 - 95BPM - Orchid - Riot by Relaxed Napper

AIP3 - "Orchid Riot" is a 95 BPM audio track inspired by a screenprint of the same name by Rene Shoemaker, on exhibition until 15 Oct at La Caféothèque de Paris.

Shoemaker says in her artist statement, "My work requires exploration and travel, but sometimes I’m also a tourist in my own home towns of Athens, Georgia, USA and St. Maixant, La Creuse, France. I am at my greatest center of peace and inspiration as I discover locations to document, make sketches on the spot, and return to the studio to create new bodies of work. This work often makes its way back to the place that first inspired it, as I love to share my interpretations of spaces with the people who inhabit them. I believe that the beauty surrounding us often goes unnoticed when we experience it every day. From the perspective of an outsider, I seek to draw attention to the beauty I see: the seductiveness of the afternoon light, the sign on an abandoned petrol station, a cobblestone pathway, or the unusual window pattern on a front door."
