From his early steps learning music in his native France, this is really during his formative time in the UK that he met many like-minded artists with whom he seized every opportunity to expand his passion for music...

SAMBAL's music reflects the summer and the ocean, those years being young and care-free, and is best listened to at very high volume in a car, with friends. It draws from a wide range of influences, from the young French electro scene of later years to 70s jazz fusion, from early 2000s experimental electronica to London's current exciting club scene.

His new single, Crampotte, is an ode to the summer, the sun and the evenings spent with friends by the ocean, partying in fishing cabins. Crampotte is a dreamy yacht-pop track, the perfect sound to kick start the summer with its smooth synths, driving rhythms and snappy guitars.

Crampotte is the first single out of SAMBAL's upcoming EP, called Abondance, which will be released on Sensas throughout the summer.

With Abondance, SAMBAL travels seamlessly through several styles and moods, offering some very cinematic instrumental numbers as well as making room for a few exciting collaborations.

The colourful artwork was created by his friend Thomas Gauguery from several collages, to reflect the multiplicity of influences and instruments, but also to show two interacting worlds, where sweet nostalgia and thrilling everyday life finally meet.
