“The Demon of Betrayal”

This deceitful being lies in wait throughout the ruins of castles and monasteries, imitating the visage of a kindly nun to lure humans into their underground dens. Victims are diced into pieces and fed upon, providing Demons Of Betrayal with sustenance and the power to create vast illusions of in-tact churches to further their trickery.

Originating from Hell itself, they were wrought upon the Earth during the Second Pandora and have acted as false prophets and corrupt practitioners of faith in many alpine areas of Europe, all to feed on the naive. Over time, they have found themselves wherever the easily fooled reside, taking up whatever faith is relevant in the given area to lead the less stalwart into their dens.

Their forked tongues are sharpened to the point of slicing through metal without much effort, however, despite their immense strength they do not often engage in direct attacks. Due to this, the best way to deal with a Demon Of Betrayal is to ignore their words and distance yourself from them. It is easier said than done though, as they are able to conjure intimate details of your life to further persuade you to follow them.

If threatened or called on their act, they will, however, attack in broad daylight. As they have full control of their tongues up to 10 meters away from them, your survival in such a situation is borderline impossible.

“Bladed Tongue” is by far my favourite song I’ve made to date. I went into it with the intention of writing a high fantasy within the dubstep framework, and it resulted in a song with a monumental, dramatic atmosphere. It has so many unique sections and properly feels like a grand story. The orchestral hits really give it that grandiose feeling… almost movie-like, I think. It’s six detail-packed minutes of intense, energetic highs and brooding, ominous lows: an adventure all in one song.
