Sheffield Flood 1864 by TOFFEE MUSIC published on 2015-04-22T16:21:44Z At midnight on March 11th 1864 the Dale Dyke Dam reservoir above Bradfield near Sheffield, South Yorkshire UK burst its embankment and poured down the Loxley and Don valleys killing almost 250 people and causing thousands of pounds worth of damage. The incident is still in the Guiness Book of Records as the worst loss of life in a UK dam burst.
