the wilds Orlando Joel and Bev Wild are the wilds, a musical partnership that spans a lifetime. Described by listeners as pop alternative/indie electronica /house, the wilds combine many influences from their British roots. They grew up together in the 80’s new wave scene, which influences their unique sound, which includes Everything But The Girl, Sade, Bjork, The Smiths, and Duran Duran. Prior to Joel and Bev releasing music independently as ‘the wilds’, they released four albums under the name ‘Before You Breathe’. Currently, the wilds are collaborating with EDM DJ’s Omair, Danilo Ercole, Mike Efex, and trance pioneer, Markus Schulz, who featured the lead vocals of Bev on ’Running Up That Hill’, and her narration on The Nine Skies project. Today, they enjoy the independence of creating music from the comfort of their home studio.
